The Master of Education (M. Ed.) in Adult Learning program is designed for educators and trainers serving adult learners in a variety of settings. CityU offers three emphasis areas to fit the needs of different adult education providers:
- adult education – advanced legal, ethical, experiential and globally-minded solutions for teachers in community, technical, and vocational schools
- TESOL – theoretical and practical applications for Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) overseas and in the U.S.
- training in organizations – insights for developing and leading organizational training and development initiatives for strategic growth and staff improvement
Coursework will deliver tactical insight on topics including instructional and curriculum design, leadership, e-learning, distance learning, program planning and evaluation. Instructors infuse diversity across all courses, preparing students to teach to changing and diverse populations. CityU’s emphasis on the use of technology to support learning means that students graduate with the ability to serve as leaders in the use of modern educational tools, and also helps them become competitive candidates in a variety of industries.
